“Unfortunately, we have received very sad news. Today, Zbyněk “BOBR” Horák left us forever – singer, composer, lyricist and guitarist, who inseparably belonged to Argema. RIP BOBR. ”Horák came from Dubňany in the Hodonín region. The band dates back to 1982.
The founding members included Josef Pavka, Stanislav Borovička, Oldřich Gistr, Zbyněk Horák and Jaroslav Pavelka. The manager and lyricist of the band was Karel Holomáč. The first public performance took place in Čejkovice in the Hodonín region. “The name Argema was chosen by musicians after the African tropical butterfly,” reads the Argema website.
Her most famous compositions include Jarošovský pivovar, Tohle je ráj or Modrý pondělí. In the mid-1990s, the band was hit by a tragic accident at a concert. Her guitarist Bohdan Furch died on stage at the time after an electric shock.
