The former head of Formula 1 team BMW Mario Theissen believes that the withdrawal of manufacturers after a pandemic is likely.
“The withdrawal of manufacturers from the championship is not excluded. We just have to wait and see. I think that now the situation is completely different. Too many different factors. Finally, to assess the impact of the coronavirus in Formula 1 can only be made after six months, but I think that the care teams is quite possible”, — quotes the words of Mario Theissen Grand.PX.
After the global financial crisis of 2008, Formula 1 has gone from four automakers — Honda, Toyota, Renault and BMW.
Recall that the pandemic coronavirus has already been canceled or postponed eight stages of the championship.
