While we don’t have an official start date for the new WNBA season, it’s just around the corner. The league is celebrating its 25th anniversary this season, and on Thursday unveiled new jerseys to mark the occasion.
Nike and the WNBA have partnered on uniforms since 2018, but took storytelling and creativity to the next level with this year’s drop. By implementing direct player feedback for sharper creative design and expression, the WNBA and Nike have provided us with arguably the best jersey drop the league has ever seen.
Each of the 12 teams received uniform editions of three games: Heroine Edition, Explorer Edition, and Rebel Edition. All of these jerseys celebrate the teams’ cities and communities through the eyes of female archetypes. Here’s a look at each jersey for the 2021 WNBA season.

The shirt was not designed to represent or wink at anything in particular. Ultimately, they were looking for a cool, classic oversized feel, which is evident in the gold trim.

The last shirt was classic and cool, but this one pulls out all the stops. The Ace card details and glossy finish add dimension to the jersey and are ultimately a nod to the Ace card and its meaning of mastery.
