The Skoda Superb, the flagship of the Czech brand, was the first model of the house to release the Sportline finish, back in 2015, which later also came to SUVs, such as the Kodiaq, the Karoq and even the Enyaq iV, the first electric of the firm.
Now it is the Skoda Octavia that receives for the first time this Sportline version, with a more sporty appearance, which aims to provide an aesthetic more similar to the RS, but without the need to opt for the powerful engine of the sportier version.
To start with, you receive various elements in black or darkened, such as a subtle spoiler on the boot lid, window frames, lights or alloy wheels, which are specific and 17 inches in diameter, although 18 inches are also available as an option. or 19 inches. It should be noted that this Sportline finish is available for both the saloon and the Octavia Combi (family).
The interior, which is based on an Octavia with the Style finish, also features piano black trim strips, as well as sport-trimmed seats with integrated head restraints, a Sportline-emblazoned steering wheel or Octavia lettering on the sills. of the doors.
This version, located right between the Style and the Octavia RS, includes as standard a USB-C port in the interior rear-view mirror, to facilitate the driver’s installation of a ‘dashcam’ type video camera.
As would be expected, the Octavia Sportline is available with a multitude of engines, both gasoline and diesel, micro-hybrids, natural gas and even the plug-in hybrid, which offers 204 hp and a range in electric mode of up to 60 kilometers.
Depending on the version, it can enjoy front or all-wheel drive, and a six-speed manual gearbox or DSG automatic, dual-clutch and seven relationships.
The most interesting thing about the engine offer is that it includes the well-known 2.0 TSI block, in a 190 hp version, associated exclusively with the DSG automatic transmission and four-wheel drive. As an option, the Sportline can also be equipped with the adaptive DCC suspension.
