Head ATP: strive to herbal tournaments left in the calendar, but everything is vague

The head ATP Andrea Gaudenzi commented on the situation with the spread of the coronavirus, recognizing that the organization is doing everything possible to save the grass season, but at the moment everything is more than uncertain. While the tournament is suspended until June 7.

“We continue to assess all options for preserving and maximizing the fullness of the tennis calendar, based on different return dates on the tour. Needless to say, that requires full cooperation with other governing bodies. We work closely with all tennis tournaments herbal, and they remain in the calendar as scheduled. The reality is that the situation in the world develops quickly, and there is no other choice but to act on the basis of the development of events day by day and week by week.

The current suspension of the tour leaves a large void in all of our lives. However, in the coming weeks we intend to play our role through our digital and social media platforms, which, among other initiatives, launched a campaign #tennisathome to bring to our fans a positive and fresh content.

This is a time of considerable uncertainty for all, and there is nothing more important than to put a priority on health. Those personal stories I heard from friends at home in Italy, terrifying. You must take this seriously and stay home and practice responsible social distancing, all of this is of paramount importance. We encourage everyone in the tennis community to spread this important message in the coming days and weeks”, — quotes the words of Gaudence the press service of the Asia-Pacific region.
