Finnish player Jamppi CS:GO is suing Valve because of someone else’s ban

Finnish player Elias Jamppi of Olkkonen filed a lawsuit to the Valve on the recovery of damages due to VAC-ban, which is alleged in the complaint, prevented him to sign the contract with OG. It is reported by Dbltap.

The lawsuit States that Jamppi bought a second copy of CS:GO in 2015, when he was 14 years old to play with a friend on LAN tournament. After the account has been bought by another, which was later banned by the developers. When Jamppi contacted Valve, trying to clear his name from the account, he said that the ban will remain and he will get a ban on participation in tournaments Valve.

A VAC ban prevented Jamppi to sign a contract with OG, which eventually took instead Mateusz mantuu Wilczewski. Jamppi further attempts to contact Valve were unsuccessful. The players Union Counter-Strike Professional Players Association, whose member he was since October of 2019, has also ignored the requests of the player and did nothing to help him.
