Finnish “Jokerit” refused further participation in the play-offs KHL

As it became known “Championship”, the KHL club Jokerit has refused further participation in the playoffs and withdrew from the tournament because of the situation with coronavirus. The team will not hold matches of the second round with St. Petersburg SKA.

We will remind, the Finnish “Jokerit” in the first round of the playoffs beat Yaroslavl “locomotive” — 4-2 and SKA knocked out of Gagarin Cup Moscow “Vityaz” — 4-0.

Series SKA — Jokerit was supposed to start March 17 in St. Petersburg.

Previously, the government of Finland introduced a ban on mass gatherings of over 500 people due to the pandemic coronavirus. And the club said it will play home games in the playoffs of the Continental hockey League without spectators. The press service of “Jokerit” stressed that people’s health always has the highest priority.
