The National Stadium, the first sports arena in the country, managed by the Peruvian Institute of Sports (IPD), will have 40 polling stations during the general elections on Sunday, April 11.
The sports venue will receive an approximate of 12,000 voters, at the tables that will be installed in its spaces, which have all the protection and biosafety measures to guarantee the health care of the citizens who come to fulfill their civic duty.
A team of RPP News arrived this morning at National StadiumHe, finding that some awnings have already been placed on the esplanade of the sports complex, where the voting tables will be located.
Our reporter indicated that there is a police presence in the vicinity, awaiting the arrival of the electoral material, which will arrive in the next few hours.
The IPD has made available to the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) the temporary use of 37 sports grounds to be used as polling places in general elections.
Other complexes granted are the Matute Pool, in La Victoria, where eight tables will be installed; the closed Coliseum Puente del Ejército (32 tables), the Óscar Benavides sports complex (72 tables), among others.
