The former owner of Formula 1 Bernie Ecclestone again stated that democracy in Formula 1 is unacceptable.
“I was quite often criticized for the fact that I speak positively about dictatorships. But this is either miscommunication, or people too literally perceive my British humour. I don’t think we need to cancel democracy. But I believe that there are people who are able to make important decisions on their own. During the crisis we have now, obviously.
In Formula 1 never worked in a democracy. I felt like the Emperor, who constantly have to deal with princes who do not think about the country and about their benefits. Had to keep them in good shape”, — quotes the words of Bernie Ecclestone’s F1 Insider.
