“I’m so excited! I’ll be back on TV next month and this time I’ll be in charge of the kitchen! ”The 40-year-old announced on Instagram.
Paris Hilton was one of the very first great reality TV stars – now she is returning for the first time in ten years with her own series.
Netflix will publish the cooking show “Cooking With Paris” on August 4th.
The fact that the hotel heiress doesn’t really know how to cook is supposed to make the show amusing.
In the noughties, hotel heiress Paris Hilton became famous for trashy reality TV series such as “The Simple Life” or “My New BFF”. Now the 40-year-old is getting her own format for the first time in ten years. So reported «Variety»that Netflix will release a cooking show with Paris in early August.
The American is not really a culinary talent – but that is exactly what «Cooking with Paris» is supposed to be. Paris is not a professional cook, but a proven entertainer with a lot of reality TV experience. On Instagram, she announced: “I’m so excited! I’ll be back on TV next month and this time I’ll be in charge of the kitchen! “
In the six 30-minute episodes of the first season, Paris will bring prominent guests into the kitchen, try new recipes, improve their poor cooking skills and explore their “recently discovered domestic side”. The audience is allowed to follow the action from the procurement of the ingredients to the set table. And, typically Paris, Netflix also promises “glamorous kitchen outfits”.
People love the idea
The idea is surprisingly well received: The Paris announcement tweet has practically only positive comments. People don’t seem to be able to wait, which is understandable. We remember the legendary scene from “The Simple Life” in which Paris prepared bacon by wedging it between two irons.
The fact that the streaming giant came up with the idea of producing a culinary show with the It Girl is probably due to a YouTube video from Paris. Last year she posted a quarter-hour clip entitled “Cooking With Paris” in which she prepared her “famous lasagne”.
The video was viewed over five million times and the comments on it also show: People love to watch the hotel heiress cook – precisely because she has little idea about it. For example, she prepares the meal with long, loose hair, wearing fingerless gloves and, while rubbing the cheese, thinks: “This is brutal.”
