One of the important reinforcements of Catholic University For this season, it is the former Unión La Calera, Juan Leiva, who is in a period of adaptation, but in conversation with Radio Cooperativa he assures that he feels better and better.
“I’m trying to adapt to the team and leave everything in every minute that I have to play. Make the club even bigger,” he said.
Although it is new, Leiva has no problems when it comes to taking on challenges, and affirms that the objectives at the Catholic University are clear, and the most important is to pass the Copa Libertadores group area at once, something that comes to him being elusive.
“This will be my first experience and all the teams are very difficult. We have to worry about ourselves and advance in the group stage, which is the goal.” explained.
The former Unión La Calera confesses that he is very happy at the Catholic University and with his new colleagues he is united by a special relationship.
“The level that exists in Católica is a team that is three times champion. It is very difficult to get there, I admire my teammates a lot and I try to learn from them. It is a healthy competition and for the good of the team,” he said.
For the end, he referred to his relationship with coach Gustavo Poyet. “I am just getting to know Gustavo, he has tried to impose his style of play. He is very close to the player, I think it is something important,” he closed.
