The skipper, author of several towers in the world, is embarking on a new challenge : to build a waste collector to clean up the oceans.
Build the Manta, a giant of the seas running on new energies and, above all, capable of collecting up to 250 tons of plastic, 600 m3, to clean the oceans : it is the challenge of skipper Yvan Nectarine. He gave a conference on the subject Wednesday night in front of 500 people at the salon of ecology, university of Montpellier II.
This Thursday, November 8, the volunteers of its association with The Sea Cleaners are at the high school of Castelnau-le-Lez (Hérault) and they will be Friday, November 9, at the college of the Crès, for their first two appointments school. The idea is to make students aware of the pollution problems of plastic.
