Mende : the Batch is not taken out of his bed

Mende : le Lot n'est pas sorti de son lit

The Batch has grown but the situation is not worrying in Mende.

The mayor of Mende wants to be reassuring : the Lot has fallen during the night from Friday to Saturday.

This Saturday morning, some passers-by walking on the pont Notre-Dame to watch the Lot, swelled by the recent rainfall. The show is not the same as that of the past weeks. “At this time, at the highest, the Lot is 1.92 meter, it was only 30 cm at the lowest,” says Laurent Suau, mayor of Mende.

In spite of everything, the “situation is under control,” adds the elected. Only 2 or 3 cellars were flooded. It is really lightweight. And the situation should improve since the Lot fell in the night from Friday to Saturday.”

Maintenance of the river by the union mixed Lot Dourdou

This Friday, the City had decided to install barriers on the banks of the Lot, near the Notre-Dame bridge, “not to ban the movement, but to raise awareness of the walkers”. Actually, the river was beginning to drown out the steps of Bressal.

Until the end of the year, Laurent Suau will remain “vigilant to the situation, which can become complicated. But fortunately, there has been a maintenance upstream of the river with the union mixed Lot Dourdou. It secures a little the crossing of Mende”.
