Ukrainian boxer Alexander Gvozdik (16-0, 13 KO’s) knocked out canadian boxer Adonis Stevenson (30-1-2, 24 KO’s) and won the title of world champion under version WBC light heavyweight title.
Unfortunately, after the fight, Stevenson was hospitalized in critical condition.
Stevenson underwent surgery and thereafter was placed in the intensive care unit, reports Boxing Scene.
Alexander Gvozdik commented on the hospitalization of Stevenson, and wished him a speedy recovery.
“This is Boxing, the same thing could happen to me. You know, it’s sad, but at the same time, it’s my job and I did in the ring that was supposed to be doing, as well as he did. Coincidentally, this happened in our battle. I wish Adonis speedy recovery” – the words Cloves Boxingtalk.

The starting rounds were in the traditional “intelligence”, and in the third round of Carnations sent Stevenson down with a strong blow to the head, but the referee (from Canada) for some reason it is not counted.

After that, the Carnations began to gain momentum, and Stevenson is markedly tired, only responding to attacks.
In the tenth round of the Ukrainian missed a strong blow to the head, but by the end of the round was able to recover and caused a series of strong blows to the enemy.
In the 11th round Stud with a series of shots to the head sent the loonie into a heavy knockout, and the referee immediately stopped the fight.
