According to Stephen Amell, recently interviewed by TVGuide, Oliver and Barry will not only exchange their costumes. On the contrary, they are actually going to become The Flash and Arrow : “Grant Gustin [the interpreter’s usual Barry, editor’s note] and I had a discussion very early on the fact that, if we wanted this to work, he really had to go to the end. It was therefore my skills already acquired, and I have his super powers. These are elements of the personality of the other that we must accept in order to succeed in our mission“.
Translation ? As suggested in a recent teaser, Barry will fight, and Oliver will run very fast from the beginning of the crossover. Good news, since it will prevent us, as well of scenes of learning as long as unnecessary and repetitive.
A crossover very fun
Moreover, the actor has confirmed that this concept will allow the crossover to become the most memorable of the Arrowverse. If he has confessed that he will be less dramatic : “We do not have as many characters as last year“, he assured, however, that the idea has been mastered : “It was the thing most fun that I have been able to do that since we have done these series. (…) This is the first time, or at least the best example of what it looks like when you accept all the fun [of the universe] and all of the opportunities that are available to us“.
Released in December, this crossover could well be our most beautiful Christmas gift !
