An amazing story occurred on 30 November 1954 in Alabama in a small town Sulakova. This event forever changed the lives of women.
So about seven o’clock Ann Elizabeth Hodges and her husband, aroused by a terrible roar, in an instant, the woman fell a fragment of a celestial body weighing 3.8 kg, the house through the roof.
The woman at the time, dozing on the sofa in front of the TV when a meteorite made a hole in the ceiling, hit the radio on the table and the rebound bounced to the owner.
Miraculously meteorite, later named after the city left on the body of Ann Hodges a large bruise, but otherwise the woman got off lightly.
In the fall of the asteroid she was sleeping and could not see how the district was lit up with bright light and from the sky fell something quick and sinister.
The times were troubling, the Cold war is in full swing and most of the witnesses experienced fear of being under attack from Russian missiles. However, fear quickly gave way to curiosity when the missiles arrived and after the first shot there was silence. Onlookers rushed to the home of Ann, where the startled housewife literally woke up famous, being the only man in history who survived a direct hit from a meteor.
The fall of the fragment of the asteroid Toro in American town Sulekova is the only documented case in the history of mankind, when man survived after being hit by a meteorite.

The couple wanted to keep this an alien visitor but the police confiscated the celestial stone for examination. Subsequently, the space traveler returned to the victim, which, after a legal battle with the landlord, the real owner of the house, became the sole owner of a 4-pound gift from space.
Paying $ 500 to settle the right of ownership, the spouses Hodges planned to sell the stone to a Museum, exhibition or private collection, but these plans never materialized, because no buyers were found.
In the end, the meteorite Sulekova was in the Museum of the Smithsonian institution, which the owners just gave the ill-fated piece of the asteroid.
Later, in 1964, Anne divorced her husband, and both claimed that the world left their family right after the invasion of the meteorite.
Although the meteorite did not cause her any particularly serious injuries, that after that day the life of Ann has changed with this agreement, and all members of her family, and her ex-husband.
In 1972, Anne’s health deteriorated, and she died, although she was only a little over fifty.

By the way, about the same time one of the farmers who lived in the same County, was found another fragment of the meteorite, which is known to be split into three parts.
