The world championship on Curling among mixed doubles cancelled due to the spread of the coronavirus. Competitions were held in Kelowna (Canada) from 18 to 25 April. Previously cancelled the men’s world Cup of Curling in Glasgow and the women’s world championship in Prince George (Canada).
“Unfortunately, we are not able to hold all the major world Championships in Curling in 2020. But it is vital to remember that we are not alone in this matter, as other sports organizations around the world also have to make these difficult decisions. Ultimately, our main priority is always the health and welfare of our athletes, officials, fans and staff”, — quotes the words of the WCF President Kate Caithness, the press service of the world Curling Federation.
