Basketball holders Olympiakos has allocated € 1 million to combat coronavirus

The owners of the basketball club Olympiacos brothers Angelopoulos has allocated 1 million euros to combat coronavirus. The allocated amount will be at the disposal of the Greek Ministry of health and will be used to purchase necessary equipment.

“This is our contribution, which is now more necessary than ever”, – reads the statement of the Angelopoulos brothers, published on the official website of Olympiacos.

On the eve of 25 March, the Executive Board of Euroleague held a meeting where it was decided that the competition will be resumed as soon as the situation will allow to create optimal conditions for the health and safety of all participants.

The outbreak of the disease caused by a coronavirus, was recorded at the end of December 2019 in the most densely populated city in Central China — 12-million city of Wuhan. At the moment, stopped holding almost all sporting events.
