Bagotville sends troops to Ontario

A third military team from the Bagotville base flew Sunday morning to take part in flood relief operations in southern Ontario.
The soldiers of the 2 e Wing (Expeditionary) took a civilian flight to Bagotville Airport to Toronto to join the staff of the Joint Task Force and coordinate air operations on Monday to help Ontario civil authorities identify their needs and direct relief to the right places in the province.

The 2 E Wing had already dispatched two teams to support disaster on 20 April in Montreal and Gagetown, New Brunswick. Squadron 439 of the 3 th Wing also sent a Griffon helicopter last week in St. Hubert to fly over the affected areas of the Montérégie and the metropolitan area of Montreal to perform, if necessary, air rescues.
