Things are already in motion for the WNBA. The draft is in a couple of weeks and before you know it, WNBA basketball will be back in action.
This season will also be important. It’s the 25th anniversary season of the W. The league has been around for 25 years since its founding in 1996. And they kicked off celebrating that anniversary on Thursday.
The W and Nike partnered to make all new uniforms for each and every team in the league in what Nike calls the “most comprehensive apparel system in the WNBA.”
The uniforms feature a new improved women’s fit based on information from league athletes and come in three new editions: Explorer, Rebel and Heroine Edition uniforms.
The Explorer uniforms have an alternative and classic look, the Rebel uniforms have meaningful interlocking meaning, and the Heroine uniforms are white.
On Thursday we got a quick look at the new Explorer and Heroine editions and, man, were they amazing. Here’s a look at each of each team.
This is such a sharp look for the Dream. That red with the subtle shades of black running up the edge is just too clean.
However, they really go crazy over these things. They go back to those shades of blue, but what this one really sells is the multi-colored trim on the side. It’s so good.
And Courtney Williams does her thing with this look. That grill, all of you. Sheesh.

That bright orange Connecticut Sun flavor is absolutely classic. You just can’t go wrong with this.
This is so cool. The edge on the side is supposed to represent the “trail of life,” according to Nike, and the Keesusk on the jersey is the Mohegan word for Sun. An incredible detail.
This is not a rating. But what if these were classified? They would definitely be in the top 3. Where are they in the top 3? No idea. But this isn’t just one of the best jerseys in the WNBA, it’s one of the best jerseys in sports.
I’d say this is as good as the Explorer Sky T-shirt, but everyone knows your kid doesn’t like the cold. So I am partial to the first.
This shirt is clean. Its colors are sharp and very well organized. Unlike its NBA counterparts, this green really works well. However, it seems that something is missing.
Now this? This is definitely the one. This was inspired by a War Hawk aircraft that was built and tested by Air Force Service Pilots in WWII.
Sorry, but this jersey completely sets the bar for any jersey coming out of Indiana from now on. Everyone has work to do, Pacers, Hoosiers and everyone else.
This shirt is just amazing. Again, that red is so sharp here. And that Vegas font is just an amazing touch with that yellow border. The black trim on the outside of the shirt is a perfect touch.
This is where they went absolutely crazy. These joints are diseased. This just screams at me Las Vegas. It is elegant. It is black and gold. This shirt feels like a wealth. That’s exactly the feeling I want in Vegas.
This is your classic Lynx look. They do the blue, lime green, and white color palette so much justice with these. It is not easy to achieve.
Music lovers will love these t-shirts. They were inspired by First Avenue, which is based in Minneapolis.

THIS IS THE BEST. HANDS DOWN. GO TO DEBATE WITH SOMEONE ELSE ABOUT IT BECAUSE I WILL NOT TOLERATE YOU HERE.
Again, this is not a rating. But what if it were? This is at the top of the top. A true purple and gold t-shirt. Man.
If you look closely at this shirt, you can see that there are little gray specks on this thing that make it stand out. The details of this are just wild.
This shirt is great. Not only does it have that classic teal Liberty shade, but having Equality on the front of a t-shirt is extremely fun. I love this look.
Listen, everyone can have those faded Miami Heat jerseys. I’ll take care of these, 10 times out of 10. This is an amazing color transition.
This combination of orange, white and black never fails. Never.
Classic Seattle jerseys for the WNBA champion. You love to see it.
Is. Appearance. LASTED. It looks so rough. That dark shade of green with the faded Seattle and faded number is insanely good. What a t-shirt.
A classic look for the Mystics with that marble edging like the monuments of the city. Being a native DMV, I love these. Although I will say that I would like us to stop with the red, white and blue color palette. He’s a bit tired.
These remind me a bit of some old Atlanta Hawks jerseys. But the real catch here is that this shirt has the 19th Amendment written on it, which made it official to allow women to vote. These are good.
