A Diakov IIHF hockey player suspended for cocaine use

Well-known Russian defender Kirill Dyakov is suspended by the International hockey Federation for doping, informs the official website of the IIHF. The period of Ineligibility was 15 months, a report which began with the November 2, 2019. Deadline for disqualification — February 2021.

26-the summer hockey player has passed a positive test for the drug cocaine, which is among the banned drugs. The doping test was carried out on 2 November 2019. The player admitted his guilt and abandoned further proceedings. Since the player was first seen for violation of the doping rules and not used prohibited means to improve athletic performance, he was given a relatively mild punishment.
