Improvisation match at the organ

Pro-Organo Mauricie is organizing an improvisation match at the organ on Friday, April 26 at 7:30 pm in the Chapel of the Seminary of Trois-Rivières. Two teams of three organists will compete under the supervision of referee Raymond Perrin. The improvisers will perform in comparative improvisation, burst or simultaneous, for two periods of 45 minutes. Paul-André Bellefeuille will be the analyst at this evening where spectators will vote for the best improvisers, based on the pleasure they have had to hear them. From a dream to Russia

The Trois-Rivières Symphony Orchestra’s Musique à St. James series continues with the recital of the Trio con moto formed by the harpist Valérie Milot, the violist Elvira Misbakhova and the flutist Jocelyne Roy the Sunday, April 28 at 3 pm at St. James Church. The trio offers From Dream to Russia, around the Debussy Sonata, the first major work composed for such a training. The Afternoon Prelude of Debussy’s Wildlife, Fujin’s Dream by Montreal composer Airat Ichmouratov and Ravel’s Sonatine for Flute, Viola and Harp and the Duo for Viola and Flute no. 3 by François Devienne.
